Yesterday I decided to sit down and watch a few Messi videos. You know, there aren’t too many better ways to pass the time than watching Messi. Well, this soon became a much harder task than I could suspect.
First of all, I have a Messi library save on my browser and every time I come across a unique Messi video I make sure I save it. Unfortunately, our great friends in YouTube make it a habit to delete videos for whatever reason they want, be it as stupid as it be. So, to my surprise, the vast majority of my Messi library no longer exists on YouTube.
In addition, there is just such an overwhelming amount of videos out there, many of which contains pretty much the exact same material, and you don’t want to waste your time watching the same clip over and over again.
And if this is not enough, then we all have to outsmart the YouTube filter. YouTube are experts in showing us the most updated videos but are also experts in filtering out all the quality videos with time.
So I decided to take the time, for all you Messi fans out there, and create a small guide that contains some of Messi’s finest work. So let’s stop wasting time and get on with it!
OK well first, we just finished the season of 2012-2013, and Messi had his share of lovely, inspiring, mind-blowing moments. Here is a video, uploaded by HeilRJ03 (we will meet him again soon) that summarizes Messi’s best dribbles of the season:
Now, before we go on any further, let’s take a few moments, and remember how this all thing got started. As you probably know, with time, more and more Messi videos as a child are being released, here are is a couple of them:
First, Messi as a five years old boy (uploaded by Mambo Alfa):
Here is a video of Messi playing with Newells Old Boys, his Argentinian youth club (uploaded by 1234567894675):
Now let’s move on to the cool stuff. First, here is what’s known in Spanish as ‘Pana’. Pana basically means crossing the ball between your opponent’s legs. Ha ha. This video was also uploaded by HeilRJ03:

On we go, and we will now explore Messi’s body feint moves – in my opinion this is what makes Messi who he is – the basic of Messi isn’t the goals or the assists it’s his ability to control his body and to detect the movements of his opponents. What a remarkable video, also uploaded by HeilRJ03:
Among Messi’s uniqueness there is something that stands out. Most, if not all, superstars at the caliber of Leo Messi will do anything in order to win. So will Messi. However, Messi wants to win because he managed to beat his rivals, not because he was able to fool the referee. This has created this phenomenon most commonly known as “Messi Never Dives”. And it’s true – and I have a video to prove it (uploaded by LeoMessiFootball):
This section can only be closed with what may be Messi’s all-time best video. Uploaded by HeilRJ03, we get a full 22-minute video that demonstrates Messi’s abilities. This is highly addictive stuff, you have been warned:
Now that we finish with the cool stuff let’s move to the reason why Messi is so threating – his goals and assists.
Here is a video that includes 65 of Messi’s finest goals. It was uploaded by rom7oooHD:

But Messi isn’t just about scoring; he’s just as much about delivering lovely passes and assists to his teammates. Here is a great video that summarizes his field-vision and his ability to create impossible passes (uploaded by RousSportChannelHD):
Until the season of 2012-2013 many raised voices about Messi’s lack of ability to score from free-kicks. His set-pieces skills were known to be relatively weak. Well then, until season 2012-2013 we said (uploaded by fcbarcelona1899ify):
Finally, I know that we already came across this goal, but it’s too wonderful and deserves its own video. The MessiDona video, with all its glory (uploaded by deepfreeze11):
