The Northern-Central Americas have completed another round of head-butting in their attempt to qualify to the 2014 world-cup in Brazil. Costa Rica and the United Stated are now one step further in insuring their place in the next summer’s tournament while Mexico proves yet again that its glory days may have sadly ended.
Panama vs. Mexico 0:0 – the chicos from Mexico are finding it very hard to fill the considerably large shoes their former colleagues have left. For Mexico, it is now the first draw in their five last games. A dramatic change is essential; otherwise, the guys in green will watch the Mundial from their luxury apartments in Guadalajara.

Costa Rica vs. Honduras 1:0 – Costa Rica is officially the refreshing news from this qualification group. The Central American kept its leading place and very few will bet against seeing these guys in Brazil the following summer. Roy Miller scored the winning goal at the 25th minute.
Jamaica vs. U.S.A 1:2 – the blue and reds are on their way to secure their participation in the upcoming world-cup. The United Stated had to struggle, greatly, in order to achieve this victory – but how sweet it turned up to be. The matchup started with a leading goal by Jozy Altidore (30), yet on the 89th minute Jamaica managed to tie the score with stunning header by Jermaine Backford. When the game seemed on its sure way to draw came along Brad Evans and promised this game an unforgettable finish with a winning goal two minutes inside additional time.
